What to Do If You Lost an Item?
Step 1: Search for Your Item in the Found Items List
- First, check the "Found Items" section.
- If the list is too long to browse easily, use the category filters in the left pane to narrow your search.
Step 2: Visit the Information Desk
Regardless of whether you found your item on this LFIS:
a) If your lost item is listed in "Found Items" section:
- Come to the Information Desk to claim it through the " REPORT # " of the lost or found item. After verifying your identity and item details, it will be handed over to you.
b) If your item is not listed:
- The LFIS Supervisor will collect necessary details from you and post a Lost Item ad on your behalf.
What If You Can’t Reach the Information Desk?
If you’re unable to visit the desk in person:
a) Use the "Contact Us" Link:
- Send a message with your personal detail, " REPORT # " of the item and description of the Lost or Found item.
b) Post Through the Website:
- Submit your Lost & Found item using the "Post Lost & Found Item" form.
- Please note that your post will not be published on the website until it is validated by the LFIS Supervisor, who may make necessary edits before publishing it.
How to Post a Lost or Found Item Online?
a) If you can’t reach the Information Desk:
- Use the "Post Lost & Found Item" form.
Include:
- Accurate category selection
- Contact information (Email or Mobile number – optional but recommended)
Detailed description of the item
b) The LFIS Supervisor will review your post:
- If the details are complete, your item will be published.
- If any information is missing, the supervisor will contact you via the details you provided.
What is "Found Items"?
- This section contains all published items that have been found.
- You can filter them by category using the left-hand pane.
What is "Lost Items"?
- This section contains all published items reported as lost.
- Like Found Items, you can browse by category for easier searching.
